Sorry about posting so late... i have had a rather eventful week and have not been able to get online.... that being said.. i believe no one picked Kasey Kahne to win... so no bonus points... so here are my picks for this week

Winner- I gotta go with the man who owns the place, Jimmie Johnson. Lowes Motor Speedway, Lowe's sponsorship, he has to win this week, I mean doesn't he always at Lowe's? I think its a conspiracy.

Chasing the Chase - only 2 points out of the chase, bad luck last week, but he is gonna turn it around this week, as he ran somewhat well judging from the results (no speed channel at my parents house) i gotta go with South Bend native, LaSalle High School alum Ryan Newman. I wonder if Newman was friends with the guy whose butt I kicked in wrestling back in high school?

No Chance - If i had time,I would make pieces of paper and pick this out of a hat. Lets go with Kyle Petty has anyone else every wondered what it feels like to be kyle petty? I mean his dad was the greatest racer ever in Nascar, he was the king for crying out loud. Then you have kyle, who seems to be lucky to sniff the top 20. Gotta feel for the guy. However, he seems like one of the nicest guys in NASCAR from what i have seen.

Well, great88 exteds his lead... and I fall back thanks to newman and Vickers wrecking during a freaking caution. Congrats to JTpool player on this weeks win, and congrats to Bernsports for getting 3rd place this week, one point away from that 2nd spot. Anyway, I am still too upset to really say anything else about nascar due to last nights wreck. Here are the standings, I will add some comments when they become official on tuesday.

Oh one more note, on the comment to this blog, give me your winner for next weeks all-star race, if you pick the winner, you get 25 bonus points, but if he finishes outside of first you get 0 points, I thought this would be in the spirit of the all star race, all or nothing. I am going to go with Jimmie Johnson Lowes Motor Speedway seems to be his house. Oh Yeah, also tell me what you think of the scoring system so far.

Alright, they say all ladies should own a little black dress, and like all ladies, Darlington is dressed in black, this year literally as the track surface is now black. This should be a rather exciting race as cars are believed to have been clocked at over 200 MPH down the back stretch. So what we have here is a speedy lil track(1.388 miles i believe), should be interesting. Here are my picks.

Gotta go with similar picks as last week, they are as follows

Winner: This guy has 5 top 5's at Darlngton, and another top 10 in his races at Darlington. Infact 3 out the the last 5 races at Darlington have finished with a top 5, 4 out of the last 5 with a top 10. The only time in the last 5 races he finished outside the top 10 in the last 5 Darlington races was when he blew an engine and finished 34. The man? None other than the Rocketman Ryan Newman. I lucked out last week with this pick thanks to the stunt by hamlin which allowed Newman to creep into the 6th spot all the way from back in 15th. Once again, going with my fave driver. A good week for him, will be a good week for me.

Chasing the Chase Should i even have to say it? I am going to go with Jeff Gordon. So far picking him as worked for me, and he does just well enough to help me in the standings, but just bad enough to stay outside of the top 12. Hopefully my picking of Jeff Gordon will continue to curse him and allow him to not get into the top 12.

No Chance: Who to go with here, I forget who i picked last week, i think it was front row joe. Lets see, shorter track, high speeds, new pavement, heavy cars? hmmm lets go with an open wheel guy. I am torn, I can't go with Hornish, I will never pick a Penske guy to lose until Newman is no longer with Penske. So that means I gotta go with Patrick Carpentier

2) Picked a solid week to go with my man Newman, thanks to those late cautions, and a good pit stop, he went from 15th to 6th, good enough to give me 2nd in the weekly standings and the Overall standings, now only 8.5 points behind

3) Tough break for you Jr and Hamlin pickers, man you were looking so good till the end of the race and then bam, out of nowhere. Tough Luck guys, although your misfortune was my gain.

4) Sorry Edwardscollins, but Nascar changed the points and you dropped to 4th this week. However, congrats Ultrajer, you got your first top 3 instead.

5) I really am beginning to think that no chancer is a very important pick... it truly is the Wild Card, if he has a great race then you are screwed.
